When I entered the teaching field in 1996, I was filled with the desire to help kids who struggle to become readers. It took me years to acquire the skills needed to become an effective reading teacher.

Now I am a master teacher, an OG trained tutor, and a LETRS National PLF. In 2024 I was selected to be the Vice President of Maine’s Chapter of the Reading League. I have served on the board of the International Dyslexia Association- Northern New England

I believe that literacy is the key to power in our society. This makes the lack of literacy a social justice issue in my eyes. I am working relentlessly through my instruction, coaching, and advocacy to equip teachers with the tools needed to teach all students to read and write. I bring my knowledge to my own practice as a reading specialist, coach, consultant, and tutor.
